Acoustiq Assassins are “storytelling musicians” whose acoustic yet alternative, NEW AGE sound could best be described as contemporary soul/indie R&B.
Born and bred in Pietermaritzburg, the trio are looking to play to the ears of the world!
The group consists of three members, Siphesihle “Tonick” Bhengu, Gugu Mdladla and Siphiwe Junior Mazibuko.
Despite attending the same primary school – the Assassins’ journey is one that began by chance! Their music caters for a cosmopolitan audience with songs in IsiZulu and English. The group performs original works.
“STRIPPED DOWN, RHYTHMIC & AUTHENTIC”, the Assassins perform poetic, minimalistic music with guitars, percussion and a keyboard as an accompaniment, creating room for the creative expression of their voices.
Since the group was formed in 2014, they have hosted SOLD OUT shows in Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Makhanda and Cape Town.
