Gavin Krastin and his collaborators speak about the multichannel video installation Swell that debuts at the 2021 National Arts Festival.
Krastin is an interdisciplinary artist, curator, and educator who is currently based at Rhodes University, Makhanda, and works predominantly in live art performance. He will be in conversation with Swell’s director of photography Evaan Jason Ferreira, dramaturge Alan Parker, and photographer Georgia Herron Lekorotsoana. The conversation will be chaired by Rory Thomas, a member of the Arts of Africa and Global Souths research programme at Rhodes University.
