ARTS LOUNGE AFRICA | A CONVERSATION WITH SENZO SHABANGU

Johannesburg-based artist SENZO SHABANGU talks about his solo exhibition, Their Humble Abode, that was created for the RAW Spot Gallery.

Shabangu was a fellow of the Residencies for Artists and Writers (RAW) programme at Rhodes University in May 2021. Inspired by the university context in which he was working, his work raises questions about processes of migration in search of education. He speaks with Fadzai Veronica Muchemwa, who is a curator and a member of the Arts of Africa and Global Souths research programme.
