Book Launch: New Coin – South African Poetry

Join editor Kyle Allan for the launch of the latest edition of New Coin, South Africa’s longest-published poetry magazine.

Founded in 1965 and published by the ISEA at Rhodes University, features a wide diversity of poetic styles. Kyle Allen focuses on poetry that portrays how things around actually are, poems that critique as well as re-energise resistance and subversion; poems that reveal the occluded sites and sights of power dynamics. In its pages you will find poets both known and unknown to you, and poems whose language moves and comes alive on the page.

This event is organised and run by AMAZWI.
