Book Reading: Butterfly Bones by Elisabeth Gowans

Elisabeth Gowans wrote Butterfly Bones over the course of a year after her mother died. A lyrical arrangement of poetry and prose poems, it is woven through with vivid observations of her rural surroundings and daily life, recording a passage through grief borne up by currents of the natural world.
