During this workshop Caroline Vos will focuses on character design as well as showing a little bit on how she builds a world for the characters to live in, providing examples from her project, ‘Fairytales’, where she creates visuals for a beloved old Eastern European folk tale. She will talk about inspiration, design process, shape language and character evolution. Caroline will then take you through a brief painting process of colour environments and show the audience how she paints digitally. For his portion of the webinar, Ben Winfield will take the audience through his process and the techniques he uses when creating creatures and environments for his personal IP, ‘Lard Corp’.  Working primarily in Photoshop and Procreate, you will be able to see how Ben uses both his iPad and PC to illustrate digitally, and how you can integrate various softwares together in your design process.

Although some knowledge of Photoshop would be preferable to attend this talk, it is by no means necessary as many of the same techniques can be used in other mediums.
