Four artists created provocations based on the work and life of Dumile Feni the legendary South African artist. Nadia Beugré, nora chipaumire,  Dorothée Munyaneza and Chuma Sopotela sidestep  prosaic re-interpretation of another artist’s work, and through startling performance strategies, delve more deeply, touching points of resonance with their own lives.  In this conversation the artists talk about their methods of working, points of inspiration and more broadly, about creating during crisis. The conversation includes curator Jay Pather and will be chaired by Nomusa Makhubu, Associate Professor in Art History and Visual Culture at the University of Cape Town.
