Theatre / Rehearsal Room

This play takes place in Vimba Squatter Camp, situated in the middle of Johannesburg. Unemployment, corruption, crime, violence, GBV, substance abuse and desperation have become a norm in this community during Lockdown level 4 in South Africa.

Bra Vetties, a shebeen/spaza shop owner, meets his long-lost and never-seen daughter under mysterious circumstances, while his best friend Clifford, is a sheep in a wolf skin. Karabo, a 13-year-old girl, is being sexually violated by her own uncle. The community finds out about the rot of their very own through a recorded conversation that has gone viral, and justice finally takes place.

A capella music and dance are very important ingredients of this production.
