Creative Skills for the New Economy is the theme of this year’s Makhanda Virtual Film Festival, reflecting the importance of this sector to the New Economy and Fourth Industrial Revolution.
We have deliberately tailored the programme to match the needs of the Eastern Cape Film Industry. Most of our programme is dedicated to basic skills training from script writing to pitching to the commissioning of editors.
It has become our tradition to celebrate a legend in the film industry – in 2020, we celebrated Dr John Kani. This year we are celebrating the legendary Vusi Thanda, whose acting career started in 1980 and is still going strong.
All of the day’s events are free, but you must email for the links: firstname.lastname@example.org
