Presenting with special emphasis the songs of Eclíptica, a luminous work inspired by her astronomer ancestor Lluis Rodés, and Lilith, her latest album inspired by the universe of witches. Both compositions navigate between folklore and experimental sounds.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

In 2020, María Rodés signed her fourth studio album, Lilith, a project with which she has managed to conquer hearts and musical minds. Included in many of the lists of references in the specialised press (Rockdelux, Mondo Sonoro, Jenesaispop, La Vanguardia…), it was placed at the top of the national pop-rock list of Babelia de El País. Why? Lilith is an incomparable creation, a repertoire of surprising songs, inspired by the world of witches, between enchanted melodies and popular songs.

The live performance is equally unique. Accompanied by Isabelle Laudenbach, guitars and charango, Marina Tomás, electric guitar, Marta Roma, cello and Pep Pascual, percussion, she has toured endless stages, marvellous festivals and magical places with this top-notch cast, magical beings who build the altar that Lilith deserves live.

And if that wasn’t enough, she has still found time to get together to record with David (La Estrella, Beef). The result is called Contigo (Elefant Records), an album with a traditionalist air and country aspirations that speaks of love and beautiful things with naturalness, honesty and simplicity. Another project that has topped the best of 2021 lists.

After her personal appropriation of the Spanish copla with the album Maria Canta Copla (Chesapik 2014), a revered and highly topical album eight years later, and after the publication of her book Duermevela (Alpha Decay) and Eclíptica (Satélite K 2018), a concept album inspired by her astronomer ancestor Lluis Rodés, there is no doubt that Maria Rodés is one of the most relevant voices on the scene, an essential composer and creator who surprises and excites with each new project.

In 2020 they signed not only their best album but one of the best albums of the year. Lilith entered practically all the lists (Rockdelux, Mondo Sonoro, Jenesaispop, La Vanguardia and counting!) and on some very select podiums (Best national pop-rock album for Babelia – El País).

2021 has not left her behind and the singer-songwriter has not stopped touring while recording an album in collaboration with La Estrella de David, Contigo, published by Elefant.
