“Kinsmen: Nowhere People” extends on themes investigated in their debut album ‘Window to the Ashram’, 2017. The album is a poetic collection of narratives developed over two years of experimentation with eastern and western modes of improvised musical expression. The project intentionally creates a space for dialogue between tradition and modernity in a globalised social landscape that tends toward homogeneity. The language of Kinsmen draws on a myriad of influences including: Indian classical, mainstream jazz, avant-garde, World fusion and South African Jazz. This concert features acclaimed guitarist Vuma Levin.
