Nyanga Mural Project

Nyanga Mural Project Nyanga Stadium has been a home for many sports enthusiasts and activists. Over the years it has hosted many memorable clashes and unbelievable moments of victory and losses. It has housed sporting dreams of school children and adults alike. The stadium is where Norman Mbiko underwent his training and later trained others to follow their sporting dreams, particularly in rugby.
This is a mural to commemorate and celebrate Norman Mbiko and his peers, such as Broadhurst Cona, G. Tutu, Morgan Cushe, Benny Sontshi to name a few that once stomped that field in resistance. The wall has brought some much needed colour and vibrancy to the space, and through the mural’s historical visual storytelling, educate, inspire and motivate local residents, particularly its young people, about Nyanga’s positive history.
