The show is about a well-educated, mid-20s male who refuses to practice the rules and the protocols of government. He wants to know the real reasons for the protests, and asks the forefathers to guide him in how best to handle the situation. He believes that everyone is still involved in the struggle caused by apartheid.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
He was born in Kwazulu Natal, at the Murchison District Hospital and raised by a single mother. He started his acting career in 2008. He is a creative and artistic actor with a successful background in portraying a range of characters and engaging with the audience. He is easy to work with and is skilled at cooperating with directors, fellow actors and the various backstage and production team members throughout pre-production, production and post-production.
Motlalepule Tloome was born in Klerksdorp (North West Province) and was raised in Nyakallong location in the Free State. She started her acting career in 2006 under Nyakallong Arts and Drama Society formed by an ex-con, Jacky Moshane. She worked under SAPS, CORRECTIONAL SERVICES in order to reduce the high crime rate in her community. She has performed at national and international theatre festivals. She moved to Johannesburg in 2016 where she opened acting school with her partner, Thabani Gwala. She took her career to the next level (Filming) when she worked behind the scenes for Mzansi Magic Films. In 2014 she went to study at FUBA SCHOOL OF DRAMATIC ART, where she was studying drama and speech, before the school shut down due to financial difficulties.
Samkelo Gcina Arthur Gumede was born and raised in Durban, KZN. He started acting at creche but it only became a career option in 2011 when he was cast in a school show. In 2014, he joined an acting academy, Julazza Arts and Project where he studied Acting,Dance and Music. He moved to Johannesburg in 2016 and joined Duma Ndlovu Academy(DNA). He featured in several TV shows,soapies and telenovelas, including Generations.
Sithembile Ntshangase is a freelance artist who’s originally from KwaZulu-Natal. She started doing art at primary school (drama,music and modelling) and her passion has only grown since then. In 2017 she joined Mzo Production for a local bioskop (uthando luyabekezela) that was shown on 1kzn.tv. That same year, she participated in a pageant and became 2nd princess (Miss Summer 2017). In 2019, she joined Motlale Action Production and that’s where her acting journey really began. She started attending classes and was lucky enough to be involved in showcasing MOTLALE ACTION PRODUCTION’s shows (Mohale utswa hule festival, Ishashalazi festival). There we managed to make it to the top 5. While involved at MAP, she was cast for Moja Love (channel 157 ufelani season 4 and season 8).
Gilbert Molefi has been living between two countries ever since he was a little boy. His mother was a Mosotho woman from Lesotho and his father is a South African from the Free-State. After finishing school and University in Lesotho, he relocated to Gauteng. He has a BA in Theatre, Drama and English. He has been involved in several productions including ‘Chains’, ‘Moment’ and ‘Spirit’, all at ISHASHALAZI FESTIVAL.
Zongezile Jeffrey Junior Zengele is a Westrand, Krugersdorp based aspiring Writer, Director, Facilitator and Actor who began his journey at In-sight Media House in 2017. He left there in 2020 with Playwright, Acting and Facilitating skills. In 2019 he facilitated acting classes and was an assistant director in a play showcased at Museum Africa by Khanya college, Annual Jozi Book Fair. He became a Market Theatre alumni after a playwriting course in 2020 and was able to develop a few of his previously written scripts. In 2021, Mr.Zengele was featured in a film called Time And Space, and after joining MOTLALEACTION PRODUXIONS, was cast in 3 amazing plays, Chains as Lucas; Lerato as Maphara; and Spirit as Apartheid policeman, Zigizendoda Mkhasibe. Some of the performances took place at MOTLALEACTION PRODUXION studio during the 1st Annual MOHALE OTSWA MARWELENG FESTIVAL; Peoples Theatre, Lesedi Theatre and The Space at Jo’burg Theatre. With MOTLALEACTION PRODUXION they ended up in the top 5 at the Ishashalazi festival in 2022.
Thandekile Crearer Ngcobo was born in Kwazulu Natal and raised in Umlazi. She fell in love with the Arts at the tender age of 12 when she was in Grade 8 at EKwazini High School. She used to attend rehearsals after school at Ubuhle Bomlazi (2007 to 2010) and in 2011 and 2012, she participated in Umsindo Theatre projects. In 2013 she moved to Johannesburg and joined Kas Media. She is working with MotlaleAction Produxions. They are running a stage production called ‘Spirit’, where she is cast as the Commander of the soldiers. Her ultimate goal is to draw awareness to what matters to this generation and what could matter in the future. She believes in the importance of not forgetting who we are and where we come from and of making peace with the past to prepare for the future of equality and freedom of speech. Her biggest achievement is when she had the opportunity to be one of Ishashalazi Festival contestants at Lesedi (Joburg Theatre), Africa Museum which ran from October 2021 to March 2022 and being announced as part of the top 5 groups.
Sabelo Donald Payi was born in Johannesburg and raised in a township called Nyakallong in the Free State. ‘I was always travelling when it came to School. I grew up singing and acting. In late 2021 I decided to join Motlale Action Produxions to develop my skills. I am still a student there, and so far I was stage manager for the production Ishashalazi, at African Museum and Joburg Theatre (in 2022). I am currently learning and hope to perform soon.
