The Stuppets are five story-telling puppets that come all the way from Mpumalanga to share their messages of love and care for each other and Mother Earth. Devised by Carol Preston and directed by Sue Hall, this is the second time the Stuppets have performed on the National Arts Festival platform. Mr Mouse and Gogo have stories about kindness while Goatman has a poem about the importance of taking care of Mother Earth. Uncle Jack has a song to teach that gives thanks for water, while Green Man has a story that he tells via the puppeteer since he is unable to talk. His story is about a giant baobab tree. The show is intimate and has a message for children and adults alike.
