This piece explores the psychological cycle that comes with absent fathers, most especially how it results in hatred and anger. The show unfolds through the eyes of one young man.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Zuko Wonderfull Sikhafungana born in Matatiele, Eastern Cape is a PhD Anthropology student at the University of the Western Cape (UWC), a fellow at the Centre for Humanities Research (CHR) and artist in residence at the Factory of the Arts. He has also studied in the Netherlands at Leiden University as an exchange student. Zuko is a theatre maker, playwright, director, filmmaker, co-founder and artistic director of Back Stage Theatre Production (BSTP) a theatre company which is based in Strand, Lwandle township. His research field of interest lies within the margins of ‘community’ and mainstream theatre.
Zimkitha Ngaleka born in Cape Town in April, 1996. She completed her primary education at Methodist Primary School in Somerset West. She completed her secondary education at one of the best Art and Culture focus schools: Eersterivier Sekondêre Skool. Ngaleka is a Dance Performer, Actress, Musician. “I love everything that I do and I make sure I give my best in everything I do, as much as I don’t have time for everything but I make time for everything. In most cases I challenge myself and everything that I do challenges me that’s why I love everything I do and I enjoy myself at all times”. She is a Back Stage Theatre production admin, actress, choreographer, and singer. She has performed in Durban at Umlazi Intuba Festival, The drama factory, Collective arts admin, Baxter Theatre, Artscape Theatre and Makukhanye Art Room. Working with a choreographer Stoan Galela in German Music Videos in 2014-2015. In 2015 she received the most outstanding choreography Award and Best African Contemporary Dancer Award in JazzArt. In 2016 she represented South Africa in a beauty pageant called Miss Natural African Queen, she was crowned as the First Princess. Zimkitha has also appeared on several TV commercials such as KFC ads, Mr Price, Redisa product ads. She worked with a number of film students from CPUT.
Siphumzile Nelson Pharela, born in Cape Town in the year 1990 June 11th, is a Back Stage Theatre Production (BSTP) treasure, actor, and co-founder. He has performed in a number of theatres in the Western Cape, which includes Collective Arts Admin, The Drama Factory, Makukhanye Art Room. He has been recognised as an Outstanding Narrator during Zabalaza Mini Festival performing ‘BACK LOVE’, a stage play written and directed by Zuko Sikhafungana in the year 2016. He has also featured in a feature film titled ‘INDODA’, directed by John Warner, playing a short role of an ancestor. The film was screened at the Cape Town International Film Festival. His recent work includes a student film ‘WE OWN YOU’ directed by Nazeem Patel alongside Ricardo Koopman, and ‘THE CRIME SCENE‘ under the BSTP.
