In a surreal experience of isolation a woman experiences alter realities.  In this in-between space where the personal is public and public personal. Through performance we explore the personification of dreams, the real and mundane, how current technologies can play affect in these landscapes.

Hlumela Matika is a filmmaker and performance artist born in the Eastern Cape. She has her BFA in film production from AFDA and has an extensive history working in the South African film industry on both local and international productions. In 2016 she was awarded the prestigious Fulbright scholarship, an opportunity to obtain her MFA at Syracuse University Upstate New York. Since she has screened her narrative and performance films at various festivals. Her work explores the black female body and politics of representation through the medium of film.
