ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Rob van Vuuren
Rob van Vuuren is a multi-award-winning actor, comedian, MC, director, writer and voice over artist.
Rob is also Twakkie from the cult comedy sensation The Most Amazing Show, whose countless live shows and two enormously successful television seasons he co-wrote, produced and directed alongside Louw Venter. As a comedian and theatre actor, his career has taken him to stages all over the country as well as Perth, London, Brighton, Amsterdam, Dubai, Sharjah and Edinburgh.
His recent film work includes doing multiple voices and creative development on the Triggerfish animated film Seal Team for Netflix, as well as a critically acclaimed turn as the drill-wielding maniac in the cult hit Slumber Party Massacre for SyFy.
Upcoming work for 2022 includes a starring role in the Netflix series Luddik as well as voicing multiple characters for Sunrise Studios’ new animated film Jungle Beat 2.

Stuart Taylor
With a career in the entertainment industry that spans more than 25 years, Stuart Taylor remains one of SA’s top entertainment acts. He is a veteran of the industry, with varied expertise both in front of the public as well as behind the scenes. Even though Stuart holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stellenbosch University, his love for the creative arts led him to pursue a full-time career in entertainment once he obtained his BSc. The public success of his theatre shows opened doors to him becoming the host of the hit SABC travel show, ‘Going Nowhere Slowly’ in 2003, which ran over 7 seasons.

Alfred Adriaan
Alfred Adriaan is a young comedian flying up the ranks in the SA comedy scene with two consecutive South African comics’ choice nominations under his belt in the best New Comedian & best Intermediate comedian categories. This is significant considering he has only been on the comedy scene for the last 3 years. This dynamic highly energetic young comedian has also tried his hand at acting where he recently played the lead role in the Afrikaans Kyknet movie named Hospitaal op horings. He has also played lead character in an online viral campaign for Nokia/Microsoft.

Nissan South Africa recognized Alfred Adriaan’s increasing popularity and asked him to be part of their Nissan Magic corporate social responsibility campaign to bring awareness and help with the everyday needs of less fortunate South Africans.

He has a corporate background in brand management and corporate communications which gives him insight into what the corporate environment needs and wants for their corporate events and conferences. He has been the master of ceremonies for the likes of FNB, ABI, Wits Medical School, culinary institute of SA and many more. Alfred has proven himself to be a versatile performer and MC with the ability to read a crowd and delivering what the audience likes within the client/event managers expectations and requirements.

His comedy is based on his life growing up in the rural EC (he is from a town called Hankey, NO really) with hilarious stories that range from Public School education to his complicated relationships with the fairer sex. He is a small town boy with a colorful family background who moved to the big city. He is a well-rounded comedian with a friendly disposition.

Kagiso KG Mokgadi
Kagiso KG Mokgadi, or Just KG as he is affectionately known, is the quintessential comedy heavyweight. Influenced by old-school comedy greats and touted by his colleagues as an up-and-coming great, this multiple-award-winning stand-up comedian will have you laughing from deep within your belly. The son of a Sangoma (African Traditional Healer) and a western medicine nurse, takes his audience on a unique South African comedy journey that gives you a glimpse into what it is like to have a fairly “odd” family and why he couldn’t take a day off sick. He made his big stage performance at the Joburg Arts Alive Festival in the Comedy Nine-Nine showcase in 2012 and earned rave reviews from audience members and organisers alike. Since then, he has become one of the most recognisable comedians in South Africa. His easily relatable material, a minimalist delivery style, and great comedic timing has made KG a regular headliner at clubs, theatres, music festivals and corporate comedy stages around the country.
