This is an expressive musical theatre show, highlighting social issues. From gender based violence to migration to sexual harassment of employees in their working space and not forgetting COVID-19 regulations.
My Hometown shows how communities risk their lives in terms of fighting for poverty, and how youth have lost hope even when they are qualified and educated. The community has many challenges, including poor service delivery and is faced with the reality of living in unsafe spaces day in and day out. The production also brings into focus the additional problems faced by young people who are bullied because of their family backgrounds.
