REHEARSAL ROOM

1820 Settlers Monument on Lucas Avenue, one level below the Guy Butler Theatre stage.

The Rehearsal Room has an end on stage with a sprung wooden floor. This venue has no natural light and uses a black rear drape and flats at the side for masking. There is one large dressing room below on level B2 with two showers. There is a quick change area to the rear of the stage. There are a selection of bars, cafes and restaurants in the complex.

  • Storage Facility: There is very little storage space in the Rehearsal Room. However, you may leave larger set pieces on the side stage of Guy Butler Theatre. Please arrange this in advance with the National Arts Festival Technical Office.
  • Flying and Rigging: It is possible to hang scenery from certain rigging points. Please consult the Technical Office to find out what is possible. There are no moving fly bars.
