This exhibition is the work of recently formed 180_Collective, consisting of a photographer and visual artist. The collective is primarily interested in finding a visual language that can give voice to the voiceless. The genesis of this body of work was the disappearance of Uyinene Mrwetyana in August 2019 in Cape Town. The images in Shouting from the boulders were taken post-performance at Aardklop National Arts Festival in September 2019, where visual artist Sonya Rademeyer did a live performance. These photographs, taken by MyMalaika_Photography are the only still images that exist beyond the performance.
