Thabisa “Tash” is a Fashion Designer from Duncan Village, East London in Eastern Cape. She designs an authentic African design from Tradition clothing, Umbaco and Modern fashion for all ages. As a Xhosa woman she is passionate to design tradition ware for youth that they may know their roots and Educate the youth about our culture, using my designs as medium of communication. She studied at the NOSEC training school: where she obtained a Diploma as Fashion Designer. She is doing voluntarily work at Gompo Art Centre, where she trains community members in the evening classes. With 12 years’ operating in the industry, she obtained theory and practical side of the artform, trading with all fashion with love of traditional ware. Thabisa designs Uniforms for Schools, tracksuits and Matric farewells. Thabisa is operating under the business called Masinxibe Makhosikazi (Pty). She exhibited her work at Grahamstown National Arts Festival from 2015-2017. She hosted, so many fashion shows in Gompo Art Centre.
