Yarn Stash is the home of indie dyer Wendy Bloy, based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. Yarn Stash hand dyes South African merino and blue faced Leicester wool from South African mills. Locally sourced dyes are used to create small dye lots. These small dye lots ensure unique colourways that are not repeatable. The company stocks five yarn weights, including double knitting (dk) and four sock yarns in sport and fingering weights. These yarns are perfect for a variety of projects, ranging from socks to shawls, beanies and other warm winter goods. Completed hand-knitted items are also available in limited colours. Yarn Stash also carries two styles of lead-free pewter shawl pins, designed and handmade by a local jewellery designer. Nearly every ball of Yarn Stash yarn is unique in some way, even those that are dyed together. This means that every project you make with the yarn is special, and you'll never see someone wearing the same pair of socks or the same scarf. Yarn Stash yarns are dyed and packed in a smoke and animal free environment.
