The Mangaung Visual Arts Showcase (MVAS) was a two-day visual arts exhibition featuring Free State visual artists, Lihlumelo Toyana and Thabiso Phepeng, who presented their works to an audience in Bloemfontein, drawing from their life experiences and identities.
The showcase found its position within a new and growing artistic revival in the province, creating networks for learning and collaboration, while creating space for exhibition. Overall, Free State was given an opportunity to show what it has to offer and challenge a burgeoning artistic class to do the same.
