Ntsika Qha’s comedy journey looks like it is moving backwards. He began telling jokes on stage in Johannesburg shortly before he moved to Cape Town and eventually settled in his hometown, Gqeberha.

It has been nine years since Ntsika Qha decided to pursue a career in stand-up comedy & he has finally decided to present his debut one man comedy special titled Grown Up: Ndikhulile.

This show will either leave you believing that he is a genius, stupid or brave as he understands that stand-up comedy can be used as a tool address hard topics.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

According to the government and his parents, his name is Ntsika Ngini-Ngini but as an entertainer he goes by the name Ntsika Qha. This comes from his previous alias Ntsika Sqhazolo but most people and his colleagues preferred to call him Ntsika Sqha which he eventually shortened to Ntsika Qha.
He began telling jokes on stage in Johannesburg shortly before he moved to Cape Town and eventually settled in his
hometown of Gqeberha.
Labelled as one of the forerunners in Eastern Cape comedy, Ntsika understands that stand-up comedy can be used as a tool to address hard hitting topics.
Ntsika Qha made a name for himself under the stage name Sqhazolo in Cape Town’s comedy scene where he moved from open mic to supporting act within a space of twelve months. He delivers his stand-up routine in a unique style that resembles his persona which is low energy stage presence & critical thinking.
He is comfortable performing in his mother tongue, isiXhosa, English and Slang. He has perfomed at the National Arts Festival, Zabalaza Festival, Cape Town Comedy Club, Parker’s Comedy Club, Goliath and Goliath Comedy Club, Iphulo Drama Festival, Splash Festival, Nelson Mandela Bay Summer Nathi, Mandela Bay Arts Festival, Savanna Newcomers Showcase, Mother City Comedy Festival, The Last Laugh with David Kau to name a few.
His debut stand-up comedy special is titled ‘Grown Up: Ndikhulile’ and will be performed around the country in 2023.
