‘What I learned’ series – new at #NAF17

Published on 1 July 2017

Starting on Saturday 1 July at the National Arts Festival is a new event on the Think!Fest programme called What I Learned From…

This daily event features three to four speakers presenting a short five-minute story on a subject of their choice. The line-up of speakers is eclectic, so expect anything from “What I learned from meeting the president” to “What I learned from deep molecular psychodrama” (we don’t know what that is either…but looking forward to finding out!).

Taking place every day at 4pm until 7 July at the Yellowwood Terrace, on the top story of the Monument. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee, take a blaaskansie in front of the panoramic view of the city, and listen to stories that have influenced the of actors, artists, intellectuals, scientists, journos, politicians, activists, and many other fascinating people.

Look out for the daily line-up on our social media channels (follow the #NAF17 and #ThinkFest hashtags on Twitter and @nationalartsfestival on Facebook), on the daily update right here on the NAF website, as well as on the chalkboards in the Monument foyer.

Speakers’ coffee kindly sponsored by Home Grown Coffee in the Monument. Mmmm – damn fine coffee….
