Simon Senn, a plastic and video artist from Geneva, purchased the digital copy of a female body online, then embarked on a quest to meet the woman whose body he would go on to inhabit thanks to virtual reality. He takes to the stage to share his uncanny experience.
In this digital conference that doubles as a demonstration and confession, Simon Senn, demonstrates how the virtual world and the real world are not always in opposition, revealing the unexpected entanglements between technology, representation, gender, and law.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Simon Senn
Simon Senn was born in 1986 and lives in Geneva. He has completed a bachelor of fine arts at HEAD in Geneva and a master’s at Goldsmiths College in London. At first glance, his work seems to suggest that he is a socially committed artist speaking out against a certain type of injustice. However, his work sometimes reveals a more ambiguous approach, exploring paradoxes rather than articulating directed criticism. Even though his videos or installations are normally based
on a certain reality, fiction is often mixed in. Be Arielle F is his first proposal for the stage. During the sanitary crisis of 2020, an adapted, livestream version of the performance was created.
