Can’t Stand Still

Dance  /  Family  /  Theatre / Gymnasium

Can’t Stand Still follows the story of Nathi, a young man who is struggling to fit in at school. He fidgets, he is easily distracted, he was trouble reading, and he can’t stand still. Nathi is on his final warning from his home room teacher and things are not looking good. One day Nathi comes across a poster for a local talent show and he is inspired to go in pursuit of his talent.

Can’t Stand Still is a show about celebrating your talents and embracing divergent intelligence. It was inspired by the story of how Gillian Lynne (world famous choreographer) came to be a dancer and then later on a choreographer. How many people never discover their talents because they were never afforded the support or opportunities to pursue them? Can’t Stand Still has performed at The Kalk Bay Theatre and Die Koelkamers.
