Ingoma yoHadi

Music / The Black Power Station

Ingoma yoHadi is a journey through sound and story that sets a scene in the spiritual realm. It yearns for the awakening of one’s consciousness to life, unbound by the physical barricades, and imagining a world that has no crime, politics, suffering, and pain is collapsed at last. This is a production that features distinct poetry and centres themes of human experience from the physical, mental, physical, and spiritual. It is awakening from the birth canal and exudes rejuvenation despite prevailing circumstances of human error. Asakhe uses the Adungu (Ugandan Harp), uHadi (Xhosa music bow), Kalimba (African thumb piano) and Conga drums.
