Comedian Mbulelo Msongelwa hails from Gqeberha, EC, and has been in the industry for over 13 years. Through his company, Stand Up Mbu Pty Ltd, he has hosted comedy and Music Lifestyle events around the Eastern Cape.
In this production, Stand Up People Happy Hour, Mbulelo Msongelwa hosts 3 one man shows by Stand Up People Comedians Mira and Siphelele Qoqoshe with sounds by EC DJ Samantha Jennings aka Miss Jay. The shows promise great entertainment for the the audience, ensuring laughter and great music. The shows bring a twist to comedy allowing the audience to get the best of the two art forms.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Comedian, MC and voice over artist Mbulelo Msongelwa was born in Mdantsane, a township just outside East London. He grew up in the coastal town of Port Elizabeth, which is where, at the age of 27 he was bitten by the comedy bug. It bit him so hard he quit his then furniture shop job to pursue his dream. It was clear from the start that Mbu has a natural charm on stage that audiences quickly gravitate towards.
Mbulelo has shared the stage with some of with some of the country’s best comics such as Skhumba Hlophe, TolAssMo, Celeste Ntuli, Donavan Goliath and many more, he was also one of the comedians to be chosen to be on Trevor Noahs Nationwild.
Mbulelo Msongelwa has since opened up his company Stand Up Mbu Pty Ltd, which has created a platform for EC comedians called Stand Up People. Stand Up People allows for comedy to meet other art forms and thus being able to create versatile and creative events that will fully entertained and gain value.
