Kaylee Mcilroy is a trained actor, singer, and dancer, having recently graduated from UCT with a BA(Hons) in Theatre and Performance specialising in acting.
She has acted in the upcoming feature film Greytown Girl directed by Darrell Roodt, written by Rani Sitaram. She performed In Family Business directed by Darren King at the Sneddon Theatre. In December of 2022 she performed in Classical Comedy at the Sneddon Theatre, where she sang accompanied by the Durban City Orchestra. Also in 2022 she performed as Frida from the pop group ABBA in the sold out show Thank You For The Music at the Barnyard Suncoast for it’s four month run. She also performed in two original South African Musicals called Call Me a Fool by Leah Mari, directed by Steven Stead and La Familia by Ntlantla Swana and Khanyisa Sigwanda, directed by Philisiwe Twijnstra.

She has been performing in Horn Of Sorrow (HOS) by Nicholas Ellenbogen since 2021: a physical theatre piece about a young rhino, Thembelethu who she plays. In HOS the cast play many African animals such as rhinos, hippos, hyenas etc. while vocally recreating the soundscape of the bush. She has performed at the National Arts Festival twice in the epic choral satire Woolworths by Juliet Jenkins and in the audio story, the tower and the tree by Patrick Kenny.
