The House of Cards is an experimental one-man piece written in poetic verse and devised in a theatre making format. It creates a personal space, taking the audience on a meandering walk through the memories and musings of the character’s surreal dreamscape, vacillating between sweet, tender recollections and violent images of trauma. The play touches on various topics, including child abuse, the beauty of nature, political capitalism, true love, animal cruelty, philosophy, warfare, and more, highlighting humanity in its salvation as well as its downfall.
