Shane Cooper, a bass player constantly looking for new avenues of expression, first met the like-minded young Swiss musicians Marc Stucki and Andreas Tschopp at the fascinating Jazz Werkstatt in Bern in 2012, and they have collaborated in various ensembles ever since. They take on a trio format for the first time, exploring ideas of space and rhythm in a unique setting of two horns and bass. Old friends with a potent chemistry weave a diverse musical tapestry, sometimes like sonic liquid flowing and searching, and sometimes like a powerful musical storm. It’s all possible.
