B2 ARENA

1820 Settlers Monument on Lucas Avenue, two levels below the Guy Butler Theatre stage.

B2 Arena is an intimate black box performance space in the 1820 Settler’s Monument. Please note that the audience is seated in the three quarter round in this venue, which is ideal for intimate drama and small comedy performances. The stage is a black wooden floor, raised 0.1m. The venue is fully blacked out. There is a small dressing room behind the stage. There are a selection of bars, cafes and restaurants in the complex.

  • Storage Facility: There is very little storage space in the B2 Arena. However, you may leave larger set pieces on the side stage of Guy Butler Theatre. Please arrange this in advance with the National Arts Festival Technical Office.
  • Flying and Rigging: It is not possible to fly or hang large pieces of scenery, although backdrops may be hung. Please contact the Technical Office to find out what is possible.
  • Staging: Black stage boards, not raised
  • Loading Access: 1.2m x 2.2m
